Collection: ALS Awareness
ALS (also commonly known as Lou Gehrig's Disease) is a progressive neurodegenerative disease that affects nerve cells in the brain and spinal cord. As the different parts of the nervous system degenerates, it leads to hardening of all muscles and a person loses the ability to walk, speak, swallow and eventually breathe.
Proceeds from the sale of these shirts will be donated to a family that has been effected by ALS. Pink Ink has selected the family of Tammy and Larry Marshall. Tammy was diagnosed with ALS three years ago and this disease has taken a financial toll on the family. Larry is Tammy's primary care-giver, therefore is unable to work full-time. Tammy and Larry have 3 children, Nathan, Trevor and Elle.
